Salocin Group nets place on Govt G-Cloud 14 platform

The Salocin Group – the company behind Edit Agency, Wood for Trees and Join the Dots – has been named as a supplier on the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud 14 framework, the UK Government’s procurement platform for cloud-based services and solutions.

The move allows the business to provide public sector organisations and charities easier access to its expertise in strategic data-driven marketing, sales and service, AI readiness and operational CRM.

The Salocin Group was set up by former Lateral Group and Blueberry Wave chief Nick Dixon (pictured) in 2021 and focuses on five pillars: media optimisation, marketing technology, CRM, analytics, and content development.

G-Cloud was first launched in spring 2012, with the aim of increasing the diversity of providers serving the public sector, as the supplier landscape at this time was dominated by large US tech firms and systems integrators.

In alignment with this, the G-Cloud creators were focused on getting as many small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the framework as possible.

The 14th iteration of G-Cloud went live last month.

Crown Commercial Service is an executive agency of the Cabinet Office, supporting the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.

The department supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2023/24, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £4.9bn, supporting “world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers”.
