Slade hails Crispin Porter deal

Slade hails Crispin Porter dealPath Worldwide, the shopper marketing arm of The House Worldwide led by Philip Slade and Ben Stobart, has been bought by Crispin Porter & Bogusky just weeks after winning its first major client.
As part of the deal, House chief executive Richard Pinder will run Crispin Porter in London and internationally. He said the merger was “a natural if dramatic step forward for the model we have been building”.
The House Worldwide works with a number of other agencies, including Naked Communications in New York, Noah London, Madrid-based shop China, and Kitchen 8, a brand consultancy based in Singapore and Shanghai.
It is not known how the deal will affect The Path, which was founded late last year – six months after the main agency. However, Slade seems pretty happy about. Never one to be shy in coming forward, he posted on Twitter: “I’m not getting bored of reading this ‘Crispin Porter & Bogusky buys The House’ – life never boring always changing.”
The Path scooped its first major account in April after being appointed to spearhead the marketing strategy for Argos’ own-brand expansion.
Crispin Porter launched in London three years ago, and has offices in São Paulo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm and London, as well as three agencies in the US.
