Proximity London executive creative director John Treacy has made his first hires since joining the agency at the end of last year, beefing up his department’s creative services team.
Former Inferno chief head Aiden Moran (pictured far right), who also worked with Proximity boss Mike Dodds while they were at OgilvyOne, has been hired as creative operations director. Meanwhile Angela Lake (pictured middle), a freelance senior resource manager at Billington Cartmell, becomes creative resource manager.
Moran succeeds Justin Vir, who was poached by Havas Worldwide London in May last year to take up the newly created role of head of digital delivery.
He will lead operations across all of the Omnicom agency’s projects and clients, in a broader role than his predecessor’s.
Moran has nearly 15 years’ experience in senior creative services roles, having started his career at 141 Worldwide in 2000, before joining OgilvyOne in June 2004. He switched to Inferno (now Inferno DraftFCB) in 2011 but went freelance just over a year later.
Lake, who worked with Moran and Dodds at OgilvyOne, has previously worked freelance at Blast Radius, where she ran resourcing for clients such as Land Rover, Novartis and Starbucks, as well as in the role of resource manager at SAS.
Treacy (pictured, far left) said: “Having a great resourcing team in place is vital to getting the most out of our talented creative, to really deliver for our clients. Aidan has an impeccable track record in improving efficiency of the creative process and increasing the quality of the creative product wherever he’s worked. He and Angela are a very welcome addition to the new team.”
