Virgin push offers TiVos and TVs

Virgin Media is embarking on a direct marketing retention campaign, offering long-term customers the likes of a free TiVo or even a free telly, as part of a strategy to reward customers for their loyalty to the brand.
The digital and direct mail campaign is running under the strapline of “Tickle”, and will offer bespoke experiences based on the way customers use Virgin Media’s services.
Virgin Media executive director of brand and marketing Jeff Dodds said the initiative is not just a single campaign, “but a manifestation of our long-standing focus on ensuring loyal customers feel looked after”.
Some customers may be offered a new TiVo subscription for free, while others could receive a basket of “out of this world” gifts, containing TVs and other prizes.
Customers will be encouraged to visit an online “tickle terminal” that will display the free gifts available and services that they already pay for but are not using.
Dodds says: “A tickle is a little something that makes you smile. In life we only tickle people we know and like – for us, that’s our customers.”
