Women ‘go wild for chubby dads’

Women go wild for chubby dadsBritish women apparently go weak at the knees at the sight of a hot dad with a paunch, according to a survey to coincide with Father’s Day.
Dads feeling down in the dumps at being on left on the shelf this Sunday could get a rush of blood following the news that 56% of women would happily date a guy who had kids from a previous relationship, and one in seven (13%) prefer to date a man with kids, as it shows they are family minded.
A focus on family was top of the list for many women when asked about the most attractive qualities in a man, according to the analysis conducted by online dating site MySingleFriend.com
Around a third (29%) of the women said this was the most important factor when looking for someone to date, beating body type, job prospects, height and interest in culture.
Interestingly, those aged 16 to 24 were most likely to say being family minded was the most important attribute when looking for someone to date, with a third reporting not being family minded as a deal breaker.
The survey also found that it is “dad bodies” and not fitness nuts that are setting pulses racing among the female population. One in six named it their ideal body type for a potential mate, compared with one in nine who prefer fitness junkies. The so-called “dad bod” is most popular in Wales, where almost a quarter of women asked (24%) said it was their top choice.
Sarah Beeny, founder of MySingleFriend.com, said: “It is no surprise to me that women love to date men with children from a previous relationship. There is something about the sight of a caring, sensitive man looking after his children that makes women’s hearts melt. And who wants a guy that’s all muscles when you can have a real man, paunch and all to cuddle up to.”
