Blessed are the cheesemakers, for they will be gobbled

“I need some bread, then cheese, then bread, that’s what I need, that’s how I feed grilled cheese, grill it up till it’s golden brown, I need a cheesy, toasty snack, yeah, it is going down. I need some bread, then cheese, then bread, that’s what I need…”

With apologies to Koo Koo (no me neither), this week I have been mostly chomping my way through that 20kg block of cheese that – yes you guessed it – I won in at Grand Auction of Champion Cheeses at last week’s Frome Show.

Not that I have had the luxury of keeping it to myself, you understand, as our new recruit Ian “I’m skinnier than George Clooney these days but I still love my Fine Cheese Co deliveries” McCawley has been fighting to get his sticky mitts on it all week.

Still talking of lashings of cheese, did any of you see that Campaign’s paywall has been dismantled for the right riveting read of Maisey McCabe blowing smoke up her own and her colleagues’ arses about the latest redesign?

And I quote: “I’m human… surely, I should use this opportunity to tell you how we are honouring and recognising the foundations laid by all the Campaign journalists over the past 58 years, as we build a modern platform to help people in advertising, media and marketing do their jobs better.

“As you can imagine, it was a Herculean effort to get here. A huge thank you to all my colleagues who have worked on the project from Haymarket’s product, development, customer services, marketing and data teams. Closer to home, Gemma Charles, Nicola Merrifield, Rob McKinlay and Will Green led Campaign UK’s initial thinking; Michael Porter, formerly of this parish, tirelessly constructed its pages; and Paul Frost refined the global Campaign look and feel, kicked off by Simon Kanter and Tim Scott, and implemented with the new sites in Asia and Canada in 2025.

Campaign’s first website in 10 years deserved to be marked. I wanted to mark it.”

Shame it looks so shite, and maybe they could explain why the relaunch has also played havoc with their SEO, with stories popping up from years ago all Google…

Ah well, nothing will put me off my stroke…

“I need some bread, then cheese, then bread, that’s what I need, that’s how I feed grilled cheese, grill it up till it’s golden brown, I need a cheesy, toasty snack, yeah, it is going down. I need some bread, then cheese, then bread, that’s what I need…”

Foxy has ditched but is still on Instagram,  just don’t get too excited as she’s never there
