Foxy reveals the perfect cure for the screaming abdabs

foxy 414Ever feel like work is getting you down; no-one is listening; your boss is on another planet; and your life is just meaningless? Welcome to my world. In fact, I have been so stressed these past few weeks that I didn’t even realise that April is Stress Awareness Month. Fat lot of good that has done me.

Luckily, help is at hand dear Foxy fans, as April is also National Brunch Month, celebrating the moments when you may wake up too late for breakfast but not quite in time for lunch.

As the blurb states: “This month-long culinary celebration invites food enthusiasts to savour a delightful array of brunch classics, from fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon to decadent eggs Benedict and refreshing mimosas. Whether enjoyed at home with loved ones or savoured in cozy cafes, National Brunch Month embodies the spirit of relaxation, community, and indulgence, making it a cherished tradition for foodies and brunch aficionados alike.”

But, wait a minute, I hear you ask, what about my Slimming World mantra of “feeling like a winner, a synner and a helluva lot thinner”?

Well, folks, welcome to the world of “free foods”, where I can have bacon, poached eggs, sausage patties, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and even chips and still lose weight. In fact, drum roll, I have now lost a stone and a half since I started. Trouble is, no-one has noticed (told you I was a fatty).

Mind you, luckily help is at hand once more, as today (Friday) just so happens to be “International Scream Day” which encourages participants to can scream in their pillow, in their car, in the woods, or wherever they feel most comfortable.

Now, apparently screaming can help let out pent up emotions, as, it says here, that during these challenging times letting out a scream can be a healthy way to release your emotions.

Just as well, there’s a helpful website for those of you who aren’t sure what to do. It explains: “Find the place you are comfortable; take a deep breath and focus on what makes you scream; then let it all out!” You can even send your screams to info@screamday.com to have them posted to social media platforms.

And if that doesn’t cure your feelings that no-one is listening, you’re going to need professional help.
