Apple plots iPhone 6 loyalty club

Aplle plots iPhone 6 loyalty clubApple is understood to be launching a loyalty programme to give customers money back or gifts based on how much they spend through a digital wallet, expected to feature on the new iPhone 6, set to be unveiled later today.
Although details are sketchy, Apple has reportedly started hiring for the new division, but it might delay the launch following the celebrity photo leaks from iCloud, according to sources.
The pilot programme will most likely be associated with iTunes; Apple is currently seeking a senior worldwide partner marketing manager for iTunes, who would most likely be tasked with launching this. The company is understood to already be negotiating with third-parties for the scheme. One report claims that global hotel chain IHG International is in advanced talks, with retailers and banks also in discusions.
It has llong been speculated that the technology behind the digital wallet – so-called near-field communication or NFC – will feature on the new iPhone. Mastercard, Visa and American Express are said to have signed up to Apple’s digital payments system. Disney is also installing NFC readers in its stores ahead of the tonight’s announcement.
