G2 insider Todd replaces Hipperson

G2 Joshua has promoted global key accounts director Sarah Todd to chief executive of the agency, succeeding Tim Hipperson who is leaving to head up media agency Zenith Optimedia’s UK operation.
Todd, a shopper marketing expert, has been at G2 for just over18 months. Prior to that she was one of the founding UK directors of Saatchi X – which launched in July 2005 – where she sat on the UK management, EMEA and global leadership teams.
In her previous role, Todd spearheaded the accounts of P&G, GSK, Toyota, Lloyd’s of London, Microsoft and HP, as well as multiple regional and local businesses.
Todd will report directly to Pietro Leone, CEO, G2 EMEA, and join the agency’s EMEA management board effective immediately.
Leone commented: “Many of our clients are redesigning their marketing strategies and we are evolving our model to match their needs with this appointment.
With her multinational client experience Sarah brings a new level of leadership to the role enhancing the capabilities of the UK office and positioning it well to be the central hub for the region.”
Todd added: “I believe we have an unmatched proposition in today’s agency space: connecting world-class strategic tools, and data and insights with channel understanding, strong creativity and excellence in delivery, enabling us to precisely predict behaviour and maximize the value of every consumer and shopper interaction. This mix is already delivering a significant shift in effectiveness and value for our clients.
ZenithOptimedia revealed it had hired Hipperson last week, as its new chief executive to take the business to “the next level”. He joined G2 two years ago and oversaw a rebranding.
