Gyro hirings boost senior team

GyroHSR has bolstered its senior team with five key appointments at its Manchester and London offices, on the back of new account wins, including Heathrow Express.
Claire Wright, a former managing partner at Proximity London, joins from CMW, where she was client services director. In the new role of client partner, Wright will take charge of GyroHSR’s flagship client, Virgin Atlantic.
Last year, Virgin extended GyroHSR’s remit to include its North American operations. As client partner, Claire will also carry CSD responsibilities and oversee the entire client portfolio of the London office.
Joining GyroHSR’s 100-strong creative team is Peter Petrella, as creative director, reporting into executive creative director Ian Kerrigan. Petrella was previously creative director of digital at Proximity London, before moving to twentysix. Joining him is senior designer Richard Lowe, an ex-M&C Saatchi art director who was design lead on Halfords, Currys and PC World.
Paul Livingstone joins from Crayon as planning director. He has previously worked at Ogilvy, Kitcatt Nohr, Wunderman, and Publicis. The string of hirings at the London office follows the appointment of executive creative director Dom Rodwell at GyroHSR Manchester. He joined earlier this month.
GyroHSR chief executive Christoph Becker commented: “The calibre of the talent we are attracting is indicative of the agency’s growth and creative output. The recent appointments of Claire, Pete, Richard, Paul and Dom provide us with even greater momentum to further our development and immediately benefit the rest of the team, our clients and partners.”
