Havas Media Group has boosted its operations by creating the new role of chief data officer – appointing ElisaDBI chief Mike Potts to the job – in a move designed to put data at the heart of the agency’s offering.
Potts (pictured) joined Havas in April 2013 following the acquisition of data analytics firm ElisaDBI (now DBi), which Potts founded and where he was group managing director.
He will now head-up all of Havas Media Group’s data and marketing technology teams, including DBi reporting to Havas Media chief executive Paul Frampton and Arena chief executive Pedro Avery.
As well as building and strengthening Havas’ relationships with leading data and technology partners , Potts is charged with ensuring Arena and Havas Media boost their use of data and marketing technology services.
He brings 15 years’ experience of the digital marketing industry, having worked at Coca Cola, Travelstore.com and Expedia before launching ElisaDBi.
