Havas Helia lures back Ol Janus to head data operation

Ol JanusHavas Helia has beefed up its senior team by reappointing Ol Janus as group head of data after he quit the agency in 2014 to lead the UK data services team at Ogilvy Group.
Janus first joined Havas Helia – then EHS Brann Discovery – in May 2003, while Huw Davis was managing director and remained at the agency for over a decade.
He went on to succeed Davis as MD, and was ultimately appointed global data director, working across clients such as Diageo, Unilever, EasyJet and Compare the Market. He quit three years ago.
Janus will now be responsible for “future-proofing” Havas Helia’s data operations, while integrating both creative and media services for its clients across both the London and Cirencester businesses.
Havas Helia group chief executive Tash Whitmey said: “I’m delighted to welcome Ol back. His passion for data and vast experience will ensure that we are fit for the future in the data services that we offer all our clients.”
Janus added: “The breadth and depth of data and digital talent within Havas, the current client list across the Havas Group and its leadership team are the three main reasons why I am so excited to be returning to Havas. I am really looking forward to working with the talented people here and helping clients such as Unilever and Diageo create effective, engaging and valuable customer experiences.”
Janus has 25 years’ experience planning, developing and implementing multi-channel data strategies for clients such as Nestle, Public Health England, BT, Diageo, BlackRock and Unilever.
Prior to his first stint at Havas Helia, he held a variety of data strategy roles at companies including Acxiom and Virgin Media.
