Mediabrands data chief nets senior Havas Helia role

russell marshHavas Helia has poached IPG Mediabrands global data officer and former Rapp chief Russell Marsh to spearhead the agency’s own data department.
Marsh, who succeeds Ben Silcox as chief data officer, joined Mediabrands in January 2014. While there he was responsible for driving the automation and programmatic agenda and integrating all of the agency’s data to provide better targeting and buying decisions for clients.
He started his career at 3T Productions in 1993, and joined Agency.com as a senior creative director six years later. He then had a spell at Sapient and Fullsix before returning to Agency.com in 2005.
In 2008, Marsh switched to Rapp as group digital stratgey director and was promoted to global head of mobile and then group strategy director. During this this he worked on clients including Pfizer, Barclays, Virgin Media and ScottishPower.
