The Institute of Direct & Digital Marketing (IDM) has signed a partnership with education giant Pearson to expand into international markets and offer students from across the globe marketing training up to the equivalent of a Masters Degree.
The partnership allows Pearson’s LCCI Level 3 Marketing graduates from a progression route to study further with the IDM’s range of professional training.
Pearson offers a broad range of qualifications across subject areas including English, finance, marketing, customer service, business administration and IT. In marketing, its LCCI qualifications equip learners with work-ready skills to prosper in their careers, from Preliminary Level to Level 3 (the equivalent of A-levels or BTEC Nationals).
By working with the IDM, Pearson Level 3 LCCI Qualified graduates in markets across APAC and the Middle East will be able to continue their studies. Offering them the opportunity to gain a professional qualification up to the equivalent of a Level 7 qualification in the key skills they need to succeed in marketing today and into the future.
Nayeli Wild, head of commercial management at Pearson, said: “We’re delighted to be joining forces with the IDM and the world-class training it offers. When we made the decision to offer our students a way to advance their marketing studies, a partnership with the IDM felt like the right choice. We look forward to working together to offer budding marketers the opportunity to learn and grow in their careers.”
IDM managing director Jane Cave added: “In a fast-changing world, it’s important for marketers and the businesses they work for that they continue to cultivate a range of skills. Not just the skills they use today, but also those they will need in the future. We’re excited to work with Pearson to extend our offering to new markets and help train not just the next generation of UK marketers, but the next generation of global talent that will assist the world’s biggest brands.”
The deal will offer IDM Awards (equivalent to level 4 qualification) in Digital Marketing, Data-Driven Marketing, Direct Mail or Data & Analysis to all Pearson LCCI Level 3 Certificate graduates, including those who have completed their qualifications in Modern Marketing Principles, Business Principles and Enterprise, Sales and Account Management, Customer Experience and Communications, Digital Marketing and Analytics or Public Relations and Media Relations.
