Leeds Building Society has appointed former O2 chief Yvonne Banks as its first head of customer experience in a move which the mutual claims demonstrates its commitment to putting the customer at the heart of everything it does.
Banks worked at O2 for over 22 years, starting on the supply side before becoming head of customer experience in 2006 and then engagement lead in 2014.
She joins Leeds Building Society from Npower, where she had been senior smart customer experience manager for just over a year.
In her new role, Banks has been briefed to bring colleagues across the business together to create joint goals towards enhancing the experience for the society’s customers.
Banks said: “I have ten years’ experience in customer experience management, and am extremely passionate about customers – listening to what they are telling us, understanding the drivers behind it and sharing that across the business.
“This is a great opportunity to make the society an even more customer centric place.”
