Lida has once again been hailed as the “star performer” of the M&C Saatchi Group, along with the agency’s mobile division, after the company reported a 7.5% rise in pre-tax profit to £18.6m with UK revenues up 13%.
Announcing the results, M&C Saatchi chief executive David Kershaw, said that Lida’s CRM offering “remains outstanding” adding that Lida and mobile divisions were “particularly strong”.
UK headline operating profit rose 12% year on year while headline operating margin also edged up from 16.1% to 16.2%.
Kershaw said that the UK “has done very well with some good new business”, adding: “Lida and mobile continue to be our star performers.
“Stuff like Land Rover and additional business from RAB has been amazing. We have won new digital business like De Beers and Boots on the back of integrating the digital side into the main agency.”
He was also upbeat about 2014, saying operating profit should match last year’s growth rate, and he hailed Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget, saying: “It reaffirms people’s feeling that the world is getting better. It gives a little more hope the socialists won’t get back in and screw it all up again.”
