Meredith returns to top WPN role

Former Rapier managing director Alison Meredith has returned to the industry after a four-year career break to join Watson Phillips Norman as executive planning director.
Meredith has more than 20 years’ experience in the business, having started her career on the client side, where she spent nearly a decade.
During this time, she was marketing manager at Marks & Spencer Financial Services, responsible for savings and investment and the development of its life and pensions offering; head of marketing at Direct Line, developing a new life proposition; and head of marketing at PPP Healthcare, relaunching Private Patients Plan as PPP Healthcare.
Meredith then spent seven years at Proximity London, becoming head of planning, before joining Rapier in 2002, where she held the role of managing director and strategic partner.
At Rapier, she worked across a range of clients including AA, Sainsbury’s, Mercedes, Smart Cars, Pedigree, Digital UK, Virgin Media, RNLI, Pruhealth and Barclaycard.
She has an MA in marketing as well as a more recent MA in digital media, and is also married to WPN marketing director John Eversley.
WPN managing partner John Watson (pictured) said: “We’re delighted that someone of Alison’s experience is joining the team here at WPN; we’re looking forward to her bringing her planning and digital skills to our clients, and she’s the perfect addition to our existing brand and data planning skills.”
