milnerIan Millner, founder and joint chief executive of Iris is to become the new chairman at the Marketing Agencies Association (MAA), taking over from Pulse Group chief Mike Spicer, who has held the position for the last two years.

MAA managing director Scott Knox said: “Mike Spicer has contributed a fantastic amount of insight, energy and hard work to the MAA. I am really pleased to be able to announce an equally strong chairman will take up the position. Ian Millner has a fantastic and well deserved reputation in the marketing industry so will be a crucial part in evolving the MAA over the coming years.”
Millner said: “I really believe in the MAA, because it’s truly by the agencies for the agencies and the other thing that is so special is that it is such a broad church. It brings together and celebrates the broadest range of agency types and that breadth and diversity has never been more relevant given the choices and challenges modern clients have. I’m really proud to be taking over from Mike, who gave me my start in the industry.”
