Jonathan Goodman – a man described as having “Lida running through his veins” – has continued his rise through the agency’s ranks by being promoted to managing director; succeeding Victoria Fox who moved up to chief executive two months ago.
Goodman was promoted to managing partner in June last year but will take over operational control of the agency and develop Lida’s growth plans working closely with Fox.
He is said to have played a major role in Lida picking up Land Rover’s retail marketing account in May, as well as the group-wide capture of Virgin Holidays – an account he currently heads up across M&C and Lida – in 2012.
Goodman joined the agency in June 2010 after five years at Kitcatt Nohr, where he was account director on clients including NSPCC and the Department of Health. Prior to that he was at Harrison Troughton Wunderman.
Fox said: “Jono has Lida running through his veins. He has so much passion and energy and is constantly looking to drive the agency onwards and upwards. He has proved his immense worth during his four years at the agency and his promotion is well deserved. His energy and enthusiasm really exemplify the Lida culture.”
Lisa Thomas, M&C Saatchi chief executive and founder of Lida, added: “Jono clearly has a fantastic pedigree – his career history speaks for itself. He not only blends business and strategic leadership, he is truly committed to creativity, his clients and to the agency as a whole. His promotion completes a robust leadership team which is set to take Lida to even greater heights.”
Lida’s management team now comprises (pictured left to right), Fox, chief operating officer Louise Whitcombe, chairman Matthew Heath, creative director Nicky Bullard, and Goodman.
