NSPCC Learning, the charity’s service that aims to provide child protection training and information for all professionals working with children and young people, is relaunching its website following an overhaul by WPN Chameleon.
The agency, an existing digital strategy partner of NSPCC, was briefed to make the detailed safeguarding advice more visible online. Previously, the information was available but disparate across the charity’s main website.
The new format pulls all of the guidance into one place, including content that was previously found on around 500 separate pages of NSPCC’s site.
The charity wants to reach, engage and educate as many professionals working with children as possible. Roles in many sectors fall within this remit, from social workers and teachers to voluntary groups, and leisure and entertainment to retail.
The charity is aiming to increase income from its professional learning services by making it easier for customers to navigate the information, and purchase products and services.
In the first few months since the learning site was developed, there has been a growth of sales in learning products and a higher level of permission to keep in touch from visitors.
NSPCC Learning digital lead Paul White said: “WPNC quickly got to grips with our project and I was impressed both by their knowledge of our sector and their ability to come up with creative digital solutions. They played a crucial role in the launch of NSPCC Learning, helping us to reach, engage and educate professionals on how to effectively keep children and young people safe.”
WPNC managing director digital Vicky Reeves added: “NSPCC Learning is a key service for the charity, so it was important for all of the crucial information professionals need to be available in one place. We used Umbraco as the CMS which also has allowed NSPCC to improve customer intelligence and analytics.
“We’ve worked on many projects with the charity as a digital partner, from fundraising to service delivery, and we were delighted to be asked to help rationalise the huge amount of learning advice it has available online.”
