55, the data business co-founded by former Google executives, has appointed Rob Bowles as head of consulting at its London offices.
The business, which has operations in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and New York sold a majority stake to “brand-tech” company You & Mr Jones, set up by ex-Havas chief executive David Jones, in 2016.
Bowles will lead a team of digital data consultants to deliver analytics solutions that will enable 55’s clients to implement digital strategies in adtech tools with the aim of improving marketing ROI. He will report to UK managing director Richard Wheaton.
Prior to joining 55 London, Bowles was part of the customer and digital team at Baringa Partners LLP, where he was responsible for delivering digital marketing and transformation initiatives across a range of market sectors including media and consumer business. He previously held senior management roles at ZS Associates and Deloitte Digital.
55 helps brands collect, analyse and activate their data across paid, earned and owned channels to increase their marketing ROI and improve customer acquisition and retention. Its clients include L’Oreal, Cartier, Cathay Pacific and Renault Nissan.
Wheaton said: “55 offers an unusual mix – structured consulting methods with savvy implementational skills. We are in a period of high growth in the UK, as we support our clients in using data to re-engineer the way that they engage with their customers. Rob’s in-depth cross-sector knowledge combined with his digital consulting experience will help us scale our client engagements, in terms of both size and depth. We are incredibly happy to welcome him to 55 London.”
Bowles added: “This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing global organisation with a fantastic client base and use my digital consulting experience to help build the consulting team in London.”
