Selby joins forces for data start-up

selbyGary Selby, the man who co-founded Information Arts with Simon Lawrence, has set up another business – alongside Geoff Downer and Robert Clark – to provide bespoke data-driven solutions to B2B organisations.
The three founders of Insightstream have a combined experience of more than 75 years in data marketing, with all of them starting their careers in the Eighties.
Selby jointly founded Information Arts in 2000, and built it into one of Europe’s leading B2B database marketing companies. He left in February 2012 after the business was bought by US data giant Harte-Hanks. Since then he has been working as a consultant.
Downer also spent four years at Information Arts – from 2004 to 2007 – and had spells at Identex (now Rapp), M&C Saatchi, Diageo and OgilvyOne before setting up his own consultancy Geoff Downer Associates.
Clark worked at Harte-Hanks before co-founding technology company the EMEA Data Group.
Insightstream’s core offering includes sourcing and interpreting data, extracting intelligence from it and using the insight gained to tailor solutions. The business will also embrace social media technology to attract, engage and retain customers.
Selby commented: “Insightstream enables us to harness our knowledge, experience and ingenuity with the power of sharp edge technology to provide incredibly smart solutions to our clients – both nationally and globally.”
