Somethin’ Else scoops I’m A Celebrity social media

im-a-celebrity-get-me-out-of-hereContent agency Somethin’ Else has received an early Christmas present from ITV after being handed the broadcaster’s social media content strategy, working alongside its in-house team, for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and future projects.
The appointment, which follows a pitch earlier this summer, will see the agency initiate design and create assets across multiple platforms.
Somethin’ Else will also work on the live show output and this will see a number of the Somethin’ Else team join ITV staff in Australia for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
It is the first time that ITV has worked directly with Somethin’ Else for social media content, although the agency is currently retained by the Brit Awards, which is broadcast each February on ITV.
ITV Digital Studios head of entertainment, comedy and drama Athena Witter said: “Strong social media content will be a crucial component of both I’m a Celebrity and our future projects and Somethin’ Else presented a compelling vision and creative ideas on how we could ensure online platforms play a key part in the success of our television shows”.
Somethin’ Else managing director Steve Ackerman added: “I’m A Celebrity offers amazing opportunities for social media with mass audiences and we’re looking forward to the other projects we may work with ITV on.”
Somethin’ Else other clients include the BBC, The Economist, Topman, Swarovksi, Absolut Vodka, Sky, and Penguin Random House.
