Sparks appoints first director of international marketing

Global brand experience agency Sparks has appointed its first director of international marketing as it continues to supercharge growth around the world.

Caroline Sparkes has 20 years’ experience of leading growth, marketing, and business development strategies for top global agencies across brand experience, digital, and product innovation.

She specialises in driving high-impact marketing initiatives, repositioning agencies for growth, and developing strategies that have delivered significant commercial results.

Most recently Sparkes was consultant and co-founder of Outskirt Collective, while she has also held leadership roles at Ustwo, George P Johnson, Critical Mass, and Momentum.

Reporting to CMO Kristy Elisano, and SVP International Jason Megson, Sparkes will be responsible for building on the agency’s global success, helping to shape the next phase of international growth.

Sparks has operated a UK division since 2013; group clients include Siemens, Netflix, Salesforce, Google and T-Mobile.

Elisano said: “Welcoming Caroline to this newly-created role reflects Sparks’ commitment to expanding our international footprint and supporting clients across borders. Supported by the global marketing team, she will ensure Sparks’ international marketing is as bold, ambitious, and globally relevant as the experiences we create.”

Sparkes added: “As global brands look for partners who can seamlessly deliver across regions and borders, our marketing must reflect Sparks’ ability to navigate complexity, create culturally relevant experiences, and design best-in-class experiences with impact in mind.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to work with such a talented team, shaping how we show up internationally and ensuring Sparks is the first choice for brands looking to create bold, impactful experiences worldwide.”
