VCCP data agency hires tech chiefConduit Data Services, the VCCP-backed marketing data specialist, has appointed Acume Consulting founder and owner Luca Colombi chief technology officer.
Set up in 2012 by former Presky Maves bosses Peter Worster and Simon Spyer, the agency is designed to help clients take advantage of the increasing number of ‘big data’ opportunities available to build their business. Conduit’s clients include Avis, Liverpool Victoria, Total Jobs and Sun Bingo.
Colombi, who also joins the agency’s board, started his career in marketing at Coca-Cola before specialising in IT.
He has extensive knowledge and expertise in business intelligence, data warehouse implementation and big data technologies; as well as enterprise wide IT strategy and data governance.
Co-founder and chief data officer Simon Spyer said: “We’ve been looking to develop greater in-house capability to deliver the technology solutions clients are demanding. Being able to bring Luca and his Acume team, experience and clients into Conduit gives us a strong platform for further growth.
“We’ve worked closely with Acume over the past 8 years on numerous CRM, loyalty and data analytics solutions for clients such as IKEA, Omega Pharma and Bestway, so we’re really pleased to finally be able to join forces formally.”
