It’s been a tough old week for me you know, having spent most of it trying to soothe the ego of my footballing fella, Fiddes Jnr, after Weston Super Mare got a right battering on Saturday. And I’m sure you’ll believe me when I say that he’s got a massive one, too.
Luckily it’s going to be my turn this weekend as tomorrow is International Women’s Day. Now, never let it be said that I am not supportive of the sisterhood, even though I’m no great fan of the marketing ‘Muffia’ (sorry Cilla).
I’ve also been a keen advocate of women’s rights in the workplace – the right to dress sexily, the right to flirt with my boss, the right to sneak out in the afternoon to get my hair and nails done, and, of course, the right to use my feminine wiles to get exactly what I want.
I’m with the lovely Caitlin Ryan on this one, she told Campaign magazine, “don’t hide your skirt under a pair of trousers”. And don’t hide those great legs either Caitlin…
I’ve also fought tooth and nail to make sure us girls get a fair crack of the whip, especially when bent over the desk.
Now I’m not too sure what you sisters have got planned for International Women’s Day, but for little ol’ Busty, it’s going to be all about me…
Fiddes Jnr has pulled out all the stops and is sending me away for a pampering weekend. Good job, too, as Weston have the fixture from hell this Saturday, with Whitehawk FC – the Millwall of the south coast – visiting town. The bookies won’t be too chuffed either, as two of their former players are facing charges of match-fixing.
Anyway, I’m leaving all that behind to spend some “me time” at Ragdale Hall Health Hydro, in Melton Mowbray.
As the pamplet states: “This is the ideal way to show yourself some self-love. Settle into blissful relaxation as you spend some quality time looking after number one and being pampered in luxury with treatments designed to leave you feeling utterly gorgeous.”
Hmm self-love. You just can’t beat that can you girls?
