Whoopy doop! Hopefully you’ll be pleased to hear that my powers of persuasion and feminine wiles – along with your hundreds of messages of support – have done the trick; the Save Busty Campaign has worked its magic and I’ll be here for many years to come, hopefully.
That’s right fans, people power rules and my esteemed editor has finally backtracked on plans to ditch this weekly probe into the grubby end of the direct marketing business.
It wasn’t easy, mind. I had to pull off every trick in my book but I can’t tell you how relieved I am. Old McKelvey has a smile on his face for once, too.
And, it seems, it’s not only little ol’ Busty that you lot love a slice of. According to our friends over at Pornhub, BBW’s are ruling the adult entertainment world too.
The big and beautiful fact of the matter is that over the course of the last 28 months, there has been a 47% increase in people searching the site for us big girls.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given their penchant for booty, the nation of Africa is leading the way, up 65%, compared to other continents, which may explain where the growth in my own readership is spurting from.
However, some of the language the insight uses leaves a lot to be desired. It states: “Like it or not, porn is a part of the dialogue that informs society’s notions of beauty and ideal body type. While today’s typical porn star is generally on the thinner end of the spectrum, searches for thicker ladies are increasingly on the rise.”
Who are they calling thick? I mean, us larger girls might view Kim Kardashian as the saviour of our rather more generously-proportioned body shape, but are we all dumb? I must confess, I can be a bit scatty at times – especially when I’ve had a few and am in need of a massive mouthful of something dark and sweet – but I reckon some of the big girls at Lida might have something to say about that, don’t you?
