CRM agency Armadillo is continuing to beef up its senior team following a management buyout in February with the appointment of its first digital design director.
Rob Pellow joins from Adestra, where he was head of digital design, managing a team of digital developers and designers working with HTML email communications, web forms and landing pages.
Prior to that Pellow spent nine years at Dyson, ultimately heading up its North American digital production in Chicago.
At Armadillo, he will be responsible for the development of conceptual creative ideas and will have direct leadership of Armadillo’s creative, development and copy teams.
The appointment follows the hiring of former TMW and Kitcatt Nohr chief Steve Jefferys as the Bath-based agency’s client services director in April.
Armadillo chief executive James Ray said: “It is vital that the individual coming in to head up our digital design loves the channels we use, understands the creative potential they offer and brings fresh thinking and inspirational leadership. Rob ticks all of these boxes, and we very much look forward to his involvement in the growth of the business.”
Pellow added: “The environment is challenging, fast-paced and ambitious. I look forward to spearheading our creative direction and building upon my skills and passions to help in creating a really innovative environment and team.”
Armadillo’s clients include McDonald’s, Disney and Hotels.com.
