CACI ‘lifer’ Greg Bradford to step down after 40 years

greg bradfordCACI president and chief executive Greg Bradford is retiring from the business after 40 years at the helm of the US-owned data company’s European operation.

The company was founded in 1962 in Washington, DC as a customer data and profiling specialist and launched its London office in 1984, handing the leadership role to Bradford, who transferred from the States.

Bradford built the firm from a small, fledgling offshoot, into a business that now ranks as one of the top data services and software companies in the UK, specialising in business intelligence, marketing and analytical services, cyber security, data management, digital forensics and digital transformation

However, CACI has maintained a low profile in the press in recent years compared to its main rivals, which include the likes of Experian, Acxiom, TransUnion and Equifax, mainly due to its work in helping both UK and US intelligence services. Its client portfolio remains confidential.

Bradford, who is 70, will be succeeded by Tracy Weir, who has been at CACI for 26 years, initially as senior vice-president of the integrated marketing group and then as managing director since January 2020. Prior to that, she worked at marketing services provider CDMS and Mars Confectionery.

She will assume the role of president and chief executive on October 1 2024 and the company has said that over the coming months, she will work with Bradford to ensure a “smooth transition”.
