Cyance, the business set up by direct marketing stalwarts Mike Housley and Shane Redding in 2007, has appointed technology sector expert Andy Sayers as commercial director with a brief to expand the business.
Sayers joins Cyance with over 20 years’ experience, having worked with organisations such as IBM, GE, Avnet Technology Solutions and, most recently, as EMEA marketing director at Arrow OEM Computing Solutions.
His appointment follows the departure of chief strategy officer Steve Kemish, who left in the summer. Cyance’s clients include Microsoft, the Institute of Directors, ITV and Motorola.
Cyance chief executive Jon Clarke said: “Appointing Andy forms part of the continued investment in our business, ensuring that we stay at the forefront of innovation and customer insight, and that we continue to provide outstanding value to our customers.
“We first worked with him during his time at Arrow OCS; we found his strategic approach to finding simple solutions to complex customer challenges, coupled with his commercial acumen, to be second to none.
“His knowledge of the OEM technology market also adds real value to the development of our services within the “Internet of Things” markets.”
Cyance chairman Housley (pictured) added: “Andy’s tech-sector expertise and industry credentials will be hugely beneficial to our management team and his experience working at board level in sales and marketing makes him well positioned to maximise internal client cohesion and boost ROI.”
