Digital agency Dare has promoted business director Atem Mbeboh to the role of managing director, as part of a wider restructure which will see Dare and Oliver Group teams work closer together.
The move follows the departure of Dare CEO Michael Olaye, who is leaving the agency for “personal reasons” and moving out of London.
It comes just three months after parent company the Inside Ideas Group was acquired by martech company You & Mr Jones.
Mbeboh joined Dare last year from 4media Group, where he was deputy MD. He will report into Inside Ideas Group UK group CEO Sharon Whale and will lead the senior team of client services director Janey MacRae, creative director Ben Long and director of experience Roz Thomas.
However, Oliver chief strategy officer Rachel Hatton will head up planning for the agency as part of the Inside Ideas Group function, which also includes data and content strategy.
This core team will be supported at group level by Oliver executive creative director Rob Kavanagh.
Whale said: “Dare will play a crucial role in our group capabilities going forward, and the new leadership team signals that. They have the group support they need to grow within the wider organization, with a stronger strategic and creative backing. I’m looking forward to working more closely with Atem and the team, and playing a part in both the evolution of Dare and the growth of the team.”
