Electric vehicle fuel card specialist Allstar UK has appointed Havas CX Helia to its marketing business, following a competitive pitch, as part of a major expansion strategy.
Based in Swindon, Allstar claims to be one of the UK’s leading fuel management solution providers, managing more than 1.2 million fuel cards in circulation and processing over 50 million transactions a year.
With electric car sales increasing by 40% in 2022, and more than one in ten new vehicles now electric, Havas CX Helia’s first activity sees the launch of Allstar’s first major brand awareness campaign for EV charge cards, in a move which is designed to meet the growing demand for alternative fuel needs.
Targeting owners of hybrid or fully electric vehicles, the cross-channel campaign is aimed at promoting the benefits of the EV charging card, including providing users with peace of mind to charge on the go across the UK, with recharging available at 85% of the UK’s motorway EV charging sites.
Led by a series of out of home executions, social films and D4 digital screens, the campaign features “a striking colour palette and attention-grabbing headlines”, designed to attract businesses and the public.
Allstar UK head of marketing Sarah Ireland said: “The partnership with Havas CX Helia will help to support our business objectives by giving us a creative and strategic partner who really understands our segment.
“The agency brought a wealth of experience and challenging creative expertise to the pitch and we are excited to see the first campaign launch this week, with creative we are proud to see live across the country.”
Havas CX Helia managing director and co-president of Helia UK David Macmillan added: “We look forward to partnering with this fresh dynamic team to help them realise their ambitious plans for promoting their EV and Beyond Fuel products. We were particularly excited by their ambitions for the brand and desire to be far braver in their creative campaigns.”
