Jaywing buys Leeds digital and data agency Bloom

rob shawJaywing is back on the acquisition trail again, signing a deal to buy Leeds agency Bloom just a few weeks after acquiring Australian search marketing agency Digital Massive.
Bloom has two principle strands to its business in a digital marketing agency and data science led product suite Bloom Intelligence. The suite includes the social intelligence tool Whisper.
The tool has already been used by Sky Sport’s for the braodcaster’s Premier League ad featuring Thierry Henri and iconic moments from Premiership football, as well as by ITV and Domino’s to validate the value of Domino’s X Factor sponsorship.
Bloom clients also include SIG, ADT, Arco, Ebuyer and Anytime Fitness. These will join Jaywing’s portfolio of Pepsico, 3M, E.on, First Direct and Pets at Home, among others.
Bloom chief executive Alex Craven, who founded the agency in 1999, will remain in the business and take on responsibility for leading the development of Jawying’s enlarged product set.
Jaywing UK & Australia chief executive Rob Shaw (pictured) said: “I’ve known Alex and Bloom for many years and have always been impressed by their professionalism, culture and focus on client service. Their development of industry leading tools such as Whisper has set them apart from many agencies; we especially like how Whisper insight has been used to drive emotionally engaging creative.”
