Kin + Carta, the former print giant which is now a digital transformation specialist, is bolstering its leadership team with a double appointment, designed to strengthen both customer experience and data operations.
First up Mark Collin (pictured, left) has been appointed managing director of experience and product, reporting to chief product officer for Europe, Lindsay Ratcliffe.
He joins from luxury fashion retail giant YOOX Net-a-Porter Group, where has been global director of customer experience technology for the past three years. Prior to that Collin worked as group director-ventures for global tech consultancy Thoughtworks, and VP Europe for Silicon Valley-based software engineering company Infogain.
In his new role, Collin will be part of the European executive team, and will sit within the consultancy’s product office, building Kin + Carta’s digital experience and product propositions – sustainable, human-centered, driven by data and underpinned by modern platforms and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Robert Wadsworth (pictured, right) joins as director of enterprise data, reporting to chief technology officer of data and AI Karl Hampson.
He joins from the Co-op, where, over the past five years, he has helped to transform the business’ data capabilities as head of data platforms and engineering.
Wadsworth also led the cloud modernisation of BBC’s TV platforms and BBC Three Online, enabling the broadcaster to create experiences for big events like Glastonbury and The Olympics.
Prior to that, he spent ten years at iSoft and CSC heading up a portfolio of global product teams delivering healthcare products into hospitals such as Great Ormond Street.
Wadsworth joins with a remit to challenge traditional enterprise approaches to data, bringing product thinking into the mix and delivering value through tangible user centric data products.
Both new hires bring a combined wealth of more than four decades’ experience which, according to Kin + Carta, demonstrates the company’s commitment to building data-driven products and experiences.
Lindsay Ratcliffe said: “Both Mark and Robert have been at the top of their game within their respective client-side organisations for years now. Having them come aboard Kin + Carta is an absolute coup, bolstering our capabilities and helping our clients achieve the potential in experience, product and data that they are striving for.”
