MRM McCann has appointed former TMW Unlimited boss Chris Pearce as chief executive, succeeding Olly Foot who has quit for “new opportunities”.
Foot started his career at Acxiom in 1990, before joining WWAV-owned The Computing Group and then Data by Design. He switched client side to American Express in the late Nineties and after a spell at Mustard London became director of data planning at MRM Partners.
He stayed with agency over 8 years, eventually becoming managing partner of MRM London. Foot quit in 2010 to be managing director of loyalty at Aimia (formerly Carlson) but after 18 months returned to the newly formed MRM Meteorite as managing director. He has been CEO since 2016.
Pearce joined TMW in 2007 as business director from Blowfish, the integrated agency he co-founded in 1998, and moved up the ranks, becoming CEO in November 2015.
In his new role, Pearce will work closely with chair and chief creative officer Nicky Bullard, who said: “[Chris’] amazing ability and phenomenal energy make him a fantastic addition to the stellar MRM McCann team here in London, helping to power the agency forward to the next level.”
Pearce added: “When the opportunity came to join the irrepressible Nicky Bullard and her brilliant team, it was just too good to resist. I’m looking forward to working closely with Nicky to help drive the agency to even greater heights, grow strong brands and make as much of a dent in the London universe as possible.”
TMW Unlimited has yet to appoint a permanent successor to Pearce.
