Notonthehighstreet hires Arena

Notonthehighstreet hires arenaHavas-owned media agency Arena has been appointed by Notonthehighstreet.com – one of the UK’s largest independent marketplaces – to run its digital display account following a competitive pitch.
Arena will work with the company across digital display, including mobile and video, supporting the brand during key sales periods at Christmas and Valentine’s Day and will also be supporting Notonthehighstreet.com’s aggressive digital expansion plans.
Launched by Holly Tucker and Sophie Cornish (pictured) in 2006 as an online arts and crafts retail hub, Notonthehighstreet now has more than 4,000 small businesses signed up, more than 80 per cent of which are female-run, with over 100,000 products available.
The brand, which puts personalisation at the forefront of its business, has briefed Arena with broadening its appeal from being a gifting site to a destination for lifestyle self-purchase. The agency will work alongside the brand to building its customer base further, with a focus on appealing to men.
Notonthehighstreet.com head of digital marketing Fiona Wallin said: “Throughout the pitching process we were hugely impressed by Arena’s clear grasp of our needs and our ambitions in this our next phase of expansion. We look forward to working closely with the team at Arena to realise our brand ambitions for our position across digital display advertising.”
Arena managing partner Ed Cox added: “Notonthehighstreet.com is one of the UK’s most exciting and fastest growing e-commerce brands. We’re delighted to be brought on board to help them in their next phase of growth.”
M2M will continue to be Notonthehighstreet.com’s retained strategic media planning and buying agency.
