Oliver picks ex-TBWA boss Stainer for global client role

Richard StainerIn-house specialist agency Oliver has boosted its global senior leadership team with the appointment of former TBWA and BBH chief Richard Stainer to the role of chief executive of global clients.
Reporting directly to Simon Martin, founder and CEO of Oliver and Inside Ideas Group, Stainer has been briefed to expand Oliver’s in-house service to global brand clients.
He brings two decades of leadership experience in global advertising and communications, most recently as partner and global head of media at international recruitment consultancy Odgers Berndtson.
Prior to that, Stainer held CEO and MD roles at TBWA and BBH, having started out at DDB. His experience includes running global accounts for the likes of Audi, Diageo, Heineken, Google & Unilever, and agency operations in London, New York and Mumbai.
Martin said: “There’s increased appetite for Oliver’s way of working, and Richard will be instrumental in rolling out our ‘better, cheaper, faster’ ideology on a global level as part of the agency’s ambitious growth strategy. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”
