Onken hires new agency to build on ‘Inner Happiness’

Onken, the large pot yoghurt brand launched over 75 years ago in Germany and now owned by Swiss dairy group Emmi, has appointed Neverland to be its lead advertising and marketing agency.

The appointment follows a competitive pitch process launched by Creativebrief in December 2025, with the agency now briefed to create a new creative platform.

Most recently, the brand has worked with AllTogetherNow, which created the “Feed Your Inner Happiness” series, focused on injecting humour and joy into yogurt consumption.

The campaign featured talking cats and fun, light-hearted narratives as well as Paddy McGuinness, with activity from experiential agency Muster, media agency m/SIX, and PR agency Halpern.

Prior to that, Onken worked with George & Dragon, Karmarama and AMV BBDO, among others.

As competition intensifies and the category continues to grow, Onken’s partnership with Neverland will focus on developing the new platform and multi-channel campaign.

Emmi also owns Kaltbach and Tete de Moine cheese as well as Emmi Caffé Latte. First established in 1947, the company has witnessed significant international expansion through acquisitions in Europe, the Americas, and North Africa, establishing a strong presence in premium segments like chilled coffee and desserts. It has acquired the global trademark rights for Onken from Dr Oetker in November 2010.

Emmi UK head of marketing John Mulvey said: “We’re incredibly excited to start working with the brilliant team at Neverland. We have big plans for the Onken brand and feel this partnership is a great step towards achieving them”.

Neverland will start work immediately alongside Onken’s other agency partners.
