Simon Dodd scoops Creston role

Simon Dodd scoops Creston roleFormer TBWA London partner Simon Dodd has been reunited with his old colleague Tim Bonnet at Creston Group by being appointed to the newly created role of managing partner at EMO.
Dodd joins from agency collective Digger, which he founded in 2010 as a group of individuals who can either work separately or as a group for client companies. The 45-strong team has worked for the likes of Holiday Autos, ATS Euromaster, Whitbread/Premier Inn and DeBortoli Wines.
‘Localisation’ agency EMO, set up in 2006, boasts an impressive client list of no fewer than eight car accounts – including BMW, Rolls-Royce, Lexus and Jaguar – in addition to Tesco, Department of Health, Holiday Inn and the InterContinental Hotels Group.
Dodd started his agency career in the Eighties, with spells at Redheads and Yellowhammer before he became board account director at McBain Noel Johnson. He joined TBWA London as a partner in 2000 switching to managing director of Maher Bird Associates two years later. In 2004 he was appointed chief executive of specialist Volkswagen agency RLA, where he stayed for more than five years.
Creston Communications chairman Tim Bonnet said: “We are delighted to have someone with Simon’s wealth of talent and experience join EMO and the wider Creston Group. His passion and understanding of EMO’s unique local proposition will really help take it to the next level.”
Dodd added: “It took a lot to persuade me to walk away from Digger and back into the mainstream, but I really think that what EMO does is truly impressive and will become even more fundamental in the coming years. Being part of the most proactive marcomms group in the UK, Creston , was the icing on the cake.”
