Sport Unlimited nets Clipper World Yacht Race brief

Round the world raceSports marketing agency Sport Unlimited, part of the Unlimited group, has been appointed to design and build a new online platform for Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, following a competitive pitch.

The agency team will design and develop a new site for the firm that runs the race, Clipper Ventures, aimed at driving engagement from fans, race crew and their families, as well as commercial partners.

The site, due to launch in 2024, will bring diverse stories of preparation and participation to life for the race, which spans over 40,000 nautical miles, and takes non-professional sailors on a challenging journey around the globe.

Sport Unlimited will draw on insights from sister consultancy, the Human Understanding Lab (a team of 120 data scientists, behavioural scientists, researchers, and neuroscientists) to inform the work.

The Human Understanding Lab will allow the team a deeper understanding of the target and how the new website could provide a key role in growing the audience, while ensuring brand partners are always key part of the experience.
