Digital and CRM agency Underwired has appointed MediCom’s social media chief Ivan Fernandes as its new planning director, charged with delivering creative data-driven strategies across its client base.
Formerly global director of social media technology at MediaCom, Fernandes and brings with him a wealth of experience spanning data, research, digital technology assessment and customer engagement strategy. He has aso held roles at VML and Group M, and was a founder of consultancy Digital Business Partners.
Underwired has been strengthening its senior team ever since its secured management buyout of the agency from parent company Hasgrove. The company recently appointed a new managing director John Thew to succeed co-founder Felix Valarde, who moved up to chief executive.
