Wunderman UK is continuing to beef up its senior team with the appointment of a new managing partner to spearhead the agency’s Microsoft account.
James Irvine started his career at Rapier and then had spells at Publicis, CST Advertising, Hypernaked and We Are Social before joining VCCP Kin in 2014. As head of account management, he has worked on campaigns for the likes of EasyJet, Nationwide and More Th>n.
In his new role, Irvine will focus on Wunderman’s Microsoft account, and push the agency’s multi-disciplinary teams to clients. He will also support the agency’s recruitment and development of talent.
In 2017, Wunderman won several high-profile accounts, including Samsung and BT-EE, and consolidated its UK portfolio to bring sister agencies Cognifide, Salmon, Burrows, Possible and Acceleration together under one roof, in an effort to maximise their full-service digital capability as a group.
Wunderman UK chief executive Pip Hulbert said: “James is a proven leader who will help develop our award-winning talent as well as steer the agency’s future ambition.”
Irvine added: “I was inspired to join Wunderman because of its commitment to delivering great experiences; whether that’s to a client, a client’s end customer or a staff member.”
