Dentsu woos back Robinson as first chief growth officer

Dentsu UK&I has recruited its first chief growth and marketing officer to identify new market opportunities for both the agency and its clients, including new business from Tapestry, Vodafone, BMW and Comic Relief.

Amy Robinson’s appointment marks her return to Dentsu from Publicis, where she has spent eight years accelerating growth and driving the UK’s marketing and business development strategy, most recently as UK group brand growth director.

She previously led new business at Dentsu-owned Vizeum UK, ahead of its integration into iProspect and brings over 20 years of experience in media and marketing services, specialising in growth strategy, new business, marketing, and proposition development across complex, multi-agency organisations.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, strong strategic thinking and operational rigour, Robinson will partner with Dentsu’s media, creative, technology and data practices, as well as its global business, to drive growth centred on Dentsu’s Media ++ strategy.

Robinson will join the UK&I’s executive leadership team, reporting to chief executive Annette Male, who said: “Amy joins at an exciting time as we sharpen our focus on delivering seamlessly integrated solutions combining media, creative, technology and data to help clients navigate and solve their biggest challenges. Her strategic clarity and collaborative leadership will be vital.”

Robinson explained: “Dentsu is a business I know well and have always admired for its ambition, depth of capability and collaborative culture. The opportunity to return, and bring together marketing, growth and proposition in a truly connected way, was one I couldn’t resist.

“I am really looking forward to working with the brilliant teams across the business to accelerate momentum to deliver meaningful growth.”
