Follow Busty’s tips to shed pounds

gossip-three-23-300x30011With just over a month to go, many of us girls are turning our thoughts to what we are going to be wearing at this year’s DMA Awards. And, if you’re anything like me, you may be wondering how on earth you are going to squeeze into that Little Black Number which has been hanging in your wardrobe for the past 12 months.
You men don’t know how lucky you are; all you have to do is buy a waistcoat and stuff all that bulk inside.
According to new research commissioned by Atkins – surprise, surprise – more than half of all women go on a diet before Christmas, rising to almost two-thirds of those aged between 25 and 34.
Apparently Cardiff is the Christmas dieting capital of the UK, where eight out of ten women try to shed pounds before they party. Hmm, if the last time I visited the Welsh capital is anything to go by, they’ll need a little bit more than a month…
Many of you will no doubt be thinking of going on a crash diet, which despite protestations from Atkins, certainly has its benefits. A spokeswoman said: “This is counter-productive as the danger with crash dieting is that you go out drinking on an empty stomach and you end up drunker, quicker.” What, may I ask, is wrong with that?
However, Atkins has been keen to point out that the best way to lose weight is to eat more protein because it fills you up quicker. (It is claimed that 500 million sperm – equivalent to a teaspoon – have only 5 calories and they really fill you up, so I suppose they’ve got a point.)
Luckily I don’t have to bother now that I am dating Mr Perfect, the plastic surgeon. He reckons he can get me to shed just enough pounds to get into my LBN with a little lipo, and who am I to argue?
All of which has allowed me to stuff my face with Halloween cakes – thanks to those lovely people at Pumpkin PR – without having to worry about piling on the pounds. You see, PR agencies do have their uses you know.
I have even managed to secure an industry discount from old Perfect, so if any of you girls think you need a little extra help just DM me on Twitter. Discretion guaranteed, of course…
