GIG at DST hires MRM client chief

The GIG at DST has boosted its agency credentials by poaching MRM Meteorite business director Andrew Orbell as client services director.
The agency, which is owned by DST Applied Analytics Group and was rebranded from Lateral Group earlier this year, picked up the Hyundai CRM account late last month.
Orbell will spearhead the client services department, working with the team to help clients take full advantage of the ongoing developments in the industry, including the emergence of big data and changes in the financial services regulation.
He started his agency career at Promotional Campaigns, rising to deputy managing director. Orbell then switched to Triangle Communications as head of account management in 1997, staying six years, followed by a stint at Publicis Dialog. He has been at MRM Meteorite since October 2010.
Orbell will report to GIG at DST managing director Ruaraidh Thomas and takes up the position with immediate effect, based at the GIG’s London offices.
