Ingenuity Group swoops for insight platform Pearlfinders

The Ingenuity Group is continuing its expansion strategy with the acquisition of sales intelligence platform Pearlfinders, which counts agencies and brands among its client base, for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2003, the Pearlfinders platform is designed to help clients generate revenue by providing them actionable insights and data; clients include Reach, Fulham FC, Alzheimer’s Society, AS Monaco, The Design Museum, PDV, BBH, Momentum Worldwide and iProspect.

The business claims to be the only platform with an in-house team of analysts, delivering forward-looking reports on the real buying intentions of the companies and senior decision-makers responsible for purchasing services.

It blends human expertise with machine learning, to deliver an actionable feed of real-time, exclusive buying signals, predicting new revenue opportunities.

Pearlfinders co-founder and chief executive Denese Colbourne (pictured, right) will remain in the business in her current role, joining The Ingenuity Group alongside her team. It will continue to operate as its own brand.

Founded by Chris Kemp (pictured, left), The Ingenuity Group first began operating as Ingenuity in 2005. In the past 20 years it has grown to encompass Ingenuity, Ingenuity+, Future Factory, Reg&Partners, MAD//FEST, MAD//Masters. Its purpose is to help the marketing industry thrive, through a wide range of services focused on generating innovation across the sector and improving the connectivity between brands and agencies.

Kemp said: “Data and insights have always been incredibly important to Ingenuity and the other businesses within the group, now so more than ever. And the ever-evolving marketing landscape means we’re always looking at new ways to build out our capabilities in response to clients’ needs.

“Pearlfinders is a brilliant platform and a natural fit alongside the suite of services we provide to both brands and agency clients, supercharging the data and insights we already have access to across The Ingenuity Group – bringing it all together and adding a new dimension to our offer in this area. I’m delighted to welcome Denese and her team on board.”

Colbourne added: “The Ingenuity Group provides Pearlfinders with a fantastic opportunity to reach new heights. We both understand the brand and agency worlds very well and the clear benefits for clients of making the best thinking, intelligence, and growth products and services available to them.

“My team and I are extremely excited by this new chapter, and we look forward to working with the impressive group that Chris is creating.”
