Kitcatt Nohr nets Macmillan task

Kitcatt Nohr nets Macmillan taskKitcatt Nohr has landed the marketing activity for two of Macmillan Cancer Support’s largest fundraising initiatives – The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and Night In – following a pitch.
The agency beat off competition from three other agencies for the account, and will now work with Macmillan to develop the strategy and creative for both events for next year.
It is not known which other agencies were involved in the pitch but Macmillan works a number of businesses across its marketing activity, including WPN Chameleon.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which takes place in September is the charity largest fundraising event, in which people across the UK hold a coffee morning and raise money for people living with cancer. In 2013, 154,000 people signed up, raising a record £20m.
Meanwhile the Night In, which is held in May, is designed for fundraisers to invite friends and family round and donate what they would have spent on a night out, to Macmillan.
Macmillan Cancer Support head of national events marketing Hannah Redmond said: “Kitcatt Nohr were the winner in a very competitive pitch process. We’re looking forward to working together to make the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and Night In the most successful fundraising events we’ve ever had.”
Kitcatt Nohr deputy managing director Annette Blunden added: “Everything about this brief seemed right – amazing clients, ambitious targets, and a team that gelled. I for one cannot wait to see the campaigns in full swing next year.”
