ZenithOptimedia chief executive Tim Hipperson has boosted his top team by appointing former Grey Worldwide data chief Ian Liddicoat as the agency’s first chief information officer.
The new role will see Liddicoat work across ZenithOptimedia UK and Worldwide, to enable the agency to better harness the power of data and technology in its Live ROI approach for clients.
Liddicoat brings a wealth of experience within the field of data-driven marketing, having held senior management positions within data analysis, direct marketing, IT, risk management, marketing strategy and latterly consultancy services.
He joins ZenithOptimedia from global professional services firm Towers Watson, where he set up the company’s Marketing Sciences practice; using in-depth analysis techniques and integrating new technologies to maximise the efficiency of marketing and advertising activity.
He started his career in Government as a senior analyst within the Ministry of Defence, before moving to Equifax, heading up both the company’s DM and credit scoring divisions.
Following a stint at Draft Worldwide, he set up his own consultancy business, Monday International, which was subsequently bought by Grey Worldwide. Liddicoat spent seven years within the WPP network, from 2000 to 2007, growing the business into MDS Global Consulting, working for clients such as Adobe, Fidelity, BAT and Microsoft.
ZenithOptimedia chief executive Hipperson said: “A sophisticated comprehension of data, and the tools necessary to unlock the insights that lay beneath, is vital to every single facet of our business. Ian brings more than two decades of experience and capability to a crucially important role for ZenithOptimedia moving forwards, further enhancing our ROI-agency proposition with data at its heart.”
