Marketing Store hires strategy chief

Marketing Store hires strategy chiefThe Marketing Store has poached MRM Meteorite executive planning director Ben Felton to be its chief strategy officer.
He has been at the agency since 2009, joining when it was MRM Worldwide. Two years ago the agency was merged with Meteorite.
At the Marketing Store, Felton will report to managing director Lisa Bonney, and will head up the agency’s strategy and planning team, working across all of its clients including McDonald’s, Shell and Carlsberg. Earlier this month the agency also scopped a major chunk of Sainsbury’s business.
Felton started his career at Blays Guides as editor of banking, before switching to Wunderman Interactive as European planning director in 2000. Three years later he switched to Global Beach and became managing partner at Agency.com in 2006. He joined MRM from Rapier, where he was head of channel planning and digital.
Bonney said: “Ben is a gifted and highly creative planner, driven by insights and genuinely understands brands and their audiences. With his arrival and additional recent senior hires, we’re well positioned for the next phase in our evolution as an agency.”
