
Springham joined the Royal Mail business division in March 2016 and has been responsible for the Mailmen campaign, which is designed to promote the benefits of direct mail to a wider audience.
Prior to that she was at Allianz as head of marketing management. Springer has also had spells at Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays.
The Post Office has been without a permanent marketing chief since Markey left to join Avia in 2016, with consultant Louise Fowler acting marketing and digital director. Markey has since switched to TSB.
Springham is quoted as saying: “The Post Office has been on a big change journey since separating from the Royal Mail in 2012 and the hard work shows in its 2016/17 annual report, moving into profit for the first time in 16 years.
“But I know there is more the business wants to achieve, and I’m looking forward to joining the Post Office and being part of the next chapter of its growth journey.”
